UCF 23, USF 20: Postgame Reaction
No. 17 UCF is one step closer to their BCS dreams, but the Knights are lucky to come out on the winning end of another nail biter.
Turnovers were the story of the game - UCF had five - but still managed to overcome a fourth quarter deficit to beat rival South Florida, 23-20.
With less than five minutes on the clock - following a big defensive stop and trailing 20-16 - Blake Bortles found Breshad Perriman down the sideline for a 52-yard touchdown for the winning score. USF's following offensive drive was thwarted by a Jordan Ozerities interception, keeping the Knights on top of the American Athletic Conference with a 7-0 record.
UCF already has a share of the league title and could clinch the BCS bid if Cincinnati loses to Louisville next Thursday night. Should the Bearcats win, the Knights would need to beat SMU in Dallas next Saturday.
