UCF hosted one official visitor over the weekend, Habakkuk Baldonado.

The Clearwater Academy defensive end became one of the state's hottest prospects after moving from Italy last summer. He recorded a staggering 30.5 sacks as a senior, ultimately attracting top-level interest and offers.

Baldonado took three visits this month: Michigan State (Jan. 19), Pittsburgh (Jan. 26) and UCF (Feb. 2).

"My visit to UCF was pretty good," Baldonado said. "I really enjoyed my time there. They're building up a really good program."

What stood out the most?

"Everything is brand new and it's really nice," he said.

Baldonado, who was hosted by defensive lineman Mason Cholewa, said he really likes UCF's coaching staff too.

"Shane Burnham is the best," Baldonado said of UCF's defensive line coach and his recruiter. "I really like all the coaches."
