Former Notre Dame offensive lineman Parker Boudreaux announced on Tuesday night his intent to transfer to UCF.

A four-star prospect in the Class of 2016, the Orlando (Fla.) Bishop Moore product was rated by Rivals.com the nation's No. 21 offensive tackle prospect.

A primary reason for the decision is Boudreaux's desire to be closer to his family.

Due to transfer rules, Boudreaux likely will have to sit out this upcoming season. He would be a redshirt sophomore in 2018, though he could regain a year of eligibility if needed.

Boudreaux is a close friend of Bishop Moore rising senior Eric Seidelman, who committed to UCF earlier this spring.
