Davis is UCFs No. 1 DE target

UCF could be the team to beat for Titus Davis following his recent visit to Orlando.
The Stockbridge (Ga.) defensive end was on campus June 19, which was his first and only college trip of the summer.

"I loved it," Davis said. "It was real fun. One of the best I've been on. I got down there around 8 o'clock in the morning and left around 3. I loved Coach (George) O'Leary. I'd love to be coached by him. He's a funny guy and cool at the same time. He told me the truth the whole time. An honest man.
"I found out when I went down there just how great the people are. That really stood out. They have great facilities. I didn't know that going in. People don't usually say much about the facilities. The campus was great also and where I'd be staying if I went there. Overall, I loved it."
The visit allowed Davis to have some sit-down time with his would-be coaches, defensive coordinator Tyson Summers and defensive line coach Lorenzo Costantini.
"They want me to come in as a defensive end and be a pass rusher," Davis said. "They said they don't have many of those. I'd be a good fit for them, they said. They told me I'm their No. 1 guy. That was a great thing to hear. I was very excited about that."
He thought about committing, but said he still wants to check out a few other schools before making a final decision. His offer list includes Charlotte, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Iowa, Iowa State, Ole Miss, Missouri, Old Dominion, Purdue, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.
"I'm just taking my time," Davis said. "I just want to see my other options. A few schools want me to come on visits and check out their facilities, like Texas Tech, Virginia and Virginia Tech."
Davis wasn't ready to divulge a "favorites" list, but did say UCF would be at the top.
"I'd say that would be highly likely," he said.
He said the most important factors in his decision will be playing time, graduation rate and where he feels the most comfortable.
