Osborne defects

Kilgore (Tex.) College defensive tackle DeQuinton Osborne is no longer a UCF commit.

The NCJAA All-American announced the news on Wednesday afternoon via a tweet:

The news doesn't come as a total surprise. On Sunday, the Texas native and former Missouri player excitedly tweeted news of a Baylor offer. And about two hours before he announced he would be reopening his recruitment, Osborne posted a photo with the Baylor coaching staff and confirmed he would be in Waco this weekend for an official visit.

Osborne had committed to UCF in December at the conclusion of an official visit. Indiana had also been making a late push as he visited there last weekend.

Shortly after Osborne's announcement, UCF running backs coach Ryan Held seemed to acknowledge the news via a tweet:

UCF has 12 commitments with around eight spots remaining. National Signing Day is one week from today.
