Speedy IMG wide receiver commits to UCF

UCF added a game changer to their recruiting class on Friday.

Emmanuel Greene, a wide receiver at IMG Academy and the Knights' top target at that position, committed over a final seven that included UCLA, West Virginia, Nebraska, Maryland, Texas A&M and Louisville. He also had offers from Cincinnati, Clemson, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Miami, Ohio State, Penn State, USF, TCU and Tennessee.

Words like "electric" and "explosive" are often used to describe the 5-foot-9, 170-pound Greene, whose speed and breakaway ability is the perfect fit for Scott Frost's offense.

The former Coconut Creek star revealed his choice in a Twitter post made around 1 p.m.

"After praying it's humbling to announce that I'll be committing to the University of Central Florida," Greene posted.

That tweet set off a firestorm from UCF coaches, staffers, players and prospects.
