We can only assume when Bob Diaco departed UConn he took the Civil ConFLiCT Trophy with him, but Scott Frost did confirm on Monday, not that it needed clarification given they opted not to accept it last year, that it's not in Orlando.

"Whereabouts unknown, I would say," Frost said. "It's definitely not here."

Legendary UConn women's basketball coach Geno Auriemma brought the short-lived UCF-UConn trophy rivalry back into the spotlight last week with comments he made on Barstool's "Pardon My Take" podcast.

"No, I would not start that conflict," Auriemma said. "If Bob (Diaco) were still here, and they had the Civil ConFLiCT, with the kind of team Scott Frost has at Central Florida now, it wouldn't be a conflict and it wouldn’t be civil with what they would do to this (current UConn) team. …That was one of the dumbest things in the history of sports."

That being said, here's everything Frost had to say at his weekly Monday press conference.

On Baby Watch:

"He's decided to delay a little bit. It's going to be any date, any minute."

On his last 48 hours:

"The last 48 have been relaxing and calm for me. I was a little anxious when I was out of town and it was imminent. Ashley's mom is here now, so someone is at home with her all the time. With me being back in town, I feel a lot more at peace."

On last year's UConn game:

"That was a big win for us last year. I thought the game could have gone either way. I was worried about that one the whole time. It was cold and rainy. In warmups it just started down-pouring and I remember thinking we couldn't complete a pass in warmups. We got behind and then miraculously the weather cleared up, the sun came out and we threw the ball really well that day. McKenzie had a good day. Made a big play before the half and I think we scored again coming out in the second half. That was a good day for our program."

On having former UConn offensive coordinator Frank Verducci on staff as offensive analyst:

"Frank has been an important piece for us all year. I think he's added a lot to what we're doing. He's been a good guy to have in the building for a lot of reasons. I'm not sure how much just for this game, how much of an advantage that is. They've changed everything they're doing. So he's familiar with the kids UConn has, but that's really all that he's going to add."

On whether the players said anything to him about the baby:

"We have good relationships in our building right now. I think the players are excited for me and I'm grateful for them for that. That's my job to go with them. I was going to be with them no matter what unless the call came. The call didn't come. I told the players afterward, I thanked them for making this week a little easier and more special for me."

On whether this is the strangest season he's been through:

"The last two years we've dealt with a lot of things. A couple hurricanes coming through, canceled games, lightning delays and now an impending birth for me. There's been a lot of stuff going on. You never know which challenge is going to raise its head, but our guys have been resilient and they've done a good job answering the bell to any challenge that comes their way."

More on Frank Verducci's role with the team:

"One, he's a smart guy and he's just a high-quality human being. We had room for one more quality control or consultant once Kevin Smith went down to FAU. Frank was out of work and had a relationship with Mario Verduzco. I think to start the year the plan was to let him get a week ahead and have the nuts of bolts and what the other teams does and is, ready for us when we got in on Sundays so we can game plan a little easier. He's been a big help from that standpoint and also has offered some really good ideas throughout the week and game day."

On his hopes for attendance on Saturday:

"I don't know. I see Orlando rallying behind our football team. And rightfully so, these guys deserve to have people supporting them. It's a fun team to watch. I see the support building. I see the groundswell that's starting to happen around town. I think this community is starting to embrace this football team. It's not going to happen overnight, but it's going to be a process. This city really has a team that they should be proud of and get behind. I expect the crowds to keep on growing."

On the experience of the offense:

"I thought overall we performed well on offense Saturday. We just didn't finish a couple drives we should have. That's partly on me. I have to make sure we're in the right stuff and the right play calls. We got stopped on a fourth down to start the game and then they scored the next play. That was a shift in the game. I thought in the third quarter when we got down in their territory we had a chance to put the game away and we fumbled. Gave them a pick six that wasn't a positive thing. Had the ball down there again and had to settle for a field goal. Had it down again and got tackled behind the line and took us out of field-goal range. You're supposed to have more points than what we had if you have 600-something yards offense. We're going to work to make sure we finish drives this week and clean that up. The great thing about calling plays with this offense, if we keep the offense on the field by getting first downs, we have a lot of guys that can create a big play. The more we're out there, the more chances we have for Killins or Gabe Davis or a bunch of other guys creating a big play for us. We got just enough of those on Saturday."

On the second game of CB Nevelle Clarke:

"Nevelle had an unbelievable game. That was a big test for our defensive backs wih the quality of wide receivers they had. I thought their quarterback played a really good game. Those guys had a huge challenge and I thought they were up to the task. Nevelle, being only his second game back, I thought he played at a really high level on Saturday. We're back to full strength in our secondary and a lot of guys are playing well."

On Greg Austin contributing two plays that led to touchdowns:

"He's a passionate guy anyway. We talk on Sundays and come up with ideas. He's had some really good ones this year. Sometimes I push back and don't want to overload our offense with too much or too many schemes and ideas, but our guys have been resilient and have been able to handle it. They know our system well enough now that throwing some new stuff at them, they take it in stride and handle it pretty easy. Yeah, he talked me into trapping them and another little wrap scheme that we had and it turned into two of our big plays. That's just an example of how good a job our staff is doing."

On the improvement this year of Adrian Killins:

"There's a lot of fast guys out there... Well, there's not many guys as fast as AK, but a lot of people who can run. AK is a great football player too. He uses his speed obviously, but that one long run he had. He had to make a couple really nice cuts and break a couple tackles. I think that's where he's improved. It's just not all about speed this year. He's making good decisions, good cuts. He's running strong. He's breaking tackles. He's just a really good football player. I think he's continued to improve through every week this season."

On where UCF will in Tuesday's new CFB Playoff rankings:

"I think I'll be in my office studying tape for UConn. (laughs). I don't know. A team that's not in a quote-unquote Power Five conference, I've watched that happen through all these rankings. The problem with anything that's someone's opinion, subjective opinion as to who's better and who's not, you're never going to know. Hopefully someday teams like ours get a chance to play in some of those games. We still have a long way to go before any of that talk matters. We've got to win this weekend. The rest will take care of itself. But I'm sure the debate will get started."

On whether he thinks it's possible for a Group of Five team to make the playoff:

"I think it's possible. I don't know if it'll happen this year, next year, the year after, but I think it's possible. I look back to when Boise was playing really well. I think they threatened a bunch of times. Probably that had a litle bit to do with their reputation and their consistency over a number of years that led to a higher ranking early on. Then they backed that up with good play in that year. I think it's definitely possible, but it's going to take a really good year from someone."

On McKenzie Milton in the SMU game:

"KZ, he didn't play his best game of the year. That being said, I think he threw for 400-somethign and ran for fifty. One thing we've been good at all year is turnover margin. It's hard to go on the road against a good team and be minus-two in turnovers, one of them for a touchdown, and still think you can win. I thought a couple of the throws were bad decisions by him. One of them maybe the route wasn't what it should have been. Not sure it was really McKenzie's fault that it happened. I don't think anybody is looking to point fingers at anybody else. We all want to improve, take care of those mistakes. I don't want to put our football team in a position where we are negative two in the turnover department and finding a way to win. We need to do what we did earlier in the year."

On UConn:

"I see a team that's improving. I think from the beginning of the year to now, they've made huge improvements. Defensively, they're a little bit different scheme that we've seen to this point. Offensively, it looks like they're getting better all the time and putting up more points. In this conference, I've said it a bunch, you have to be at your best to beat everybody and I think if you're not, anybody in this league can get you. We need to prepare well and put our players in good positions to go out and be them and make plays. So far the week's started out great. We had a really good Monday and try to build on that tomorrow."

On UConn's quarterback uncertainty given that starter Bryant Shirreffs suffered a concussion last week and is questionable:

"We'll have to prepare for both. Feel sorry for him. He got hit I think in the fourth quarter. We'll see if he plays or not. He can throw it. I think the other kid (David Pindell) can throw it too, he's just a little more of a runner so it may be a different style of game. Our guys will have to be prepared for both."

On key players for UConn:

"I have a lot of respect for No. 11, the linebacker (Junior Joseph). He played really well against us last year. I think looking at tape, he looks like the heart and soul of that defense. I think they have a couple really good d-linemen too. I think they're a lot better team than they were a year ago when we played them. It looks like they're getting better all the time. I haven't studied their offense as much yet. Early in the week we're trying to game plan on offense and I get around to watching their offense a little later. You can definitely see the improvement that coaching staff has made."

On OL Tyler Hudanick's progress:

"Tyler is coming along. It seems a little bit like it's two steps forward and one step back. Right when we think he's ready to go, he'll have another little setback. His body just hasn't done it for a long time and I think he's healthy enough, but other things can break down when you're not quite trained up to be doing what you're doing. He's fighting through it. We'll use him as much as we possibly can because he's a great kid and a great player."

On the whereabouts of the ConFLiCT Trophy:

"No. Somebody asked me on the teleconference phone call where it is. I don't want to get into that too much. It was a big deal last year. Whereabouts unknown, I would say. It's definitely not here."
