Christmas Commit: OL Schneider pledges to Knights

UCF's coaching staff got a big present on Christmas night.

Offensive lineman Cole Schneider, who had been leaning the Knights' way for quite some time, officially announced his commitment.

Schneider, who attends Riverdale High School in Fort Myers, Fla., officially visited in October for the Temple game. A state champion wrestler, coaches have told the 6-foot-4, 305-pounder he has the skill set to play center in college. That's a big area of need for UCF, who are losing Jason Rae to graduation.

USF, Minnesota, FAU, FIU and Marshall were among his other offers.

It is believed Schneider is the first player to ever commit to UCF on Christmas.
