Henriquez commits to UCF

UCF coach Donnie Jones' recruiting momentum continued on Sunday with a pledge from Orlando Christian Prep shooting guard Adonys Henriquez who committed upon the conclusion of his weekend visit.
Henriquez, rated the No. 130 prospect in the Class of 2014, chooses the Knights over a finalists list that also included Butler, Creighton, Vanderbilt and Minnesota. He had initially committed to Miami last December before re-opening his recruitment in August. Alabama, Clemson, UConn, Florida, Florida State, Georgetown, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, USF, Tennessee and Virginia Tech were among the schools that offered earlier in the process.

Henriquez is the latest in what's been a whirlwind of commitments for Jones and the Knights. Two weeks ago, UCF landed their first 2015 pledges from a pair of four-star prospects: power forward Alex Owens and point guard Corey Sanders. Last week, power forward Chad Brown joined the 2015 group.
Every 2014 and 2015 commit is from the Central Florida area. Joining Henriquez in the 2014 class is Orlando-Boone point guard B.J. Taylor, who committed in August. Owens attends Orlando-Oak Ridge, Sanders is a Lakeland native attending IMG Academy and Brown hails from Deltona.
