Issac Walker likes 'energy' of new UCF coaches

Gainesville (Fla.) St. Francis Catholic defensive tackle Issac Walker is another UCF commit that will be heading down to Orlando next weekend (Dec. 15) to meet new head coach Josh Heupel and his staff.

He just got a phone call from Heupel as well as defensive coordinator Randy Shannon.

"I really like them," Walker said. "I knew Coach Shannon from when he was at Florida because I live in Gainesville. They bring a lot of energy. I really like them - I can't wait to meet them in person next weekend."

Walker committed to UCF last June following an unofficial visit.

"I love the dorms," Walker said then. "I love how everything is so close, the facility, the tutoring center, the classrooms. Nothing is more than a 15-minute walk. You don't have to get in a car and drive everywhere. The tutoring center and their academic support really stood out. Everybody was so nice. It felt like family when I was there."
