McMillian reaffirms UCF pledge

Jermaine McMillian is fired up.

The defensive back from Miami (Fla.) Booker T. Washington committed to UCF in October, a couple weeks after taking an official visit.

Coaching changes bring a level of uncertainty, but McMillian was enthusiastic after speaking with new head coach Josh Heupel and defensive coordinator Randy Shannon on Tuesday night.

"It was real good," McMillian said. "The coaches basically reintroduced themselves. I was already familiar with Coach Shannon from when he was at Florida. I was told I would be getting a home visit next week for sure."

McMillian had pulled in offers from the likes of Baylor, FIU, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, NC State, South Carolina, USF and Temple, but says he's still 100 percent solid with the Knights.

"I am (solid) for sure," McMillian said. "I wasn't planning on backing off anyway. I love this school and I haven't even stepped on campus yet."

College life for McMillian starts in another month as he will be a January enrollee.
