Miami Northwestern RB picks up UCF offer

UCF defensive coordinator Randy Shannon offered Miami Northwestern running back Davonne "Bo" Kendrick on Wednesday night.

"He said he likes the way I play the game," Kendrick said.

Kendrick is highly interested in UCF and likes the fact it's only a few hours from home. They've set up an official visit date of Feb. 2, which is the last weekend before the traditional signing day.

UCF is involved with several Northwestern prospects. Demetreius Mayes Jr. has been a longtime commitment and the Knights are now in the picture for cornerback Nigel Bethel, who recently decommitted from Florida.

Northwestern won the Class 6A Championship in Orlando last weekend, defeating Seffner-Armwood 21-16.

Florida A&M previously offered Kendrick.
